時尚代價 The cost of fashion



人類在追求時尚產品當下....是否真正了解本身所購買的商品其製作來源?在環保意識以及生命議題不斷被討論的同時,消費者是否清楚當下購買每一件商品的環境成本或是材料製作方式?

Do people know where fashion products come from when they pursuit them? As environmentally conscious and respect life issues have been discussed for years, do consumers recognize environmental cost or material origin and manufacture of the product they buy?


今天想分享的部分是--皮製鞋品,必須說這個議題的討論〝可能〞會讓許多人不愉快,無論是品牌擁有者、產品生產者甚至是消費者。

Here we would like to share some information about where leather made shoes come from. This topic could make a lot of people feel unpleasant, no matter for consumers, manufacturers or brand owners.





既然是皮製品就需要有材料來源,近年來皮草商或是國際品牌屢屢砸下重金,想盡辦法在全球各地推動〝皮草=流行時尚=高級〞,也用欺騙的方式告訴消費者,這些動物在農場裡備受照顧、適應良好,需要取皮時動物會被【人道處理】或是【安樂死】。

Leather made shoes need the source for leather. In lately years, many tanneries and international brands have expended largely to spread the idea of “ fur = fashion= high-class” globally. In addition, they deceive consumers that all the animals are been taken care in the farm, and they use ethical treatment or euthanasia to skin them.

別以為殘忍的取皮過後,接下來的生產便是愉快且一般的過程,也別以為皮製品的生產過程受害的只是那些無辜動物而已....


It is not just about animal abuse issues, but also our environment.

其實全世界幾個國家的河川被汙染....皮革業難辭其咎,清洗皮革、皮革染製所排放的廢水毒性並不輸給高科技產業所排放的汙水,其毒性對環境的傷害更是永久無法恢復。

 It’s hard to escape from responsibility of water pollution for tanneries. The chemical was being used in most of leather tanneries. Those toxic heavy metal ends up in waterways and the damages of environment is permanent.


如果消費者不對於商品提出更高規格的要求,製造端並不會在短時間之內停止汙染。

If consumers do not ask for higher standard products, manufacturers will not stop those polluting actions in a short period.


只要消費者增加高汙染商品的購買次數,製造端便會以倍數的方式去製造商品。

As long as consumers purchase more environmental contaminant products, manufacturers will make more.


只要消費者對於皮草的需求不減,製造商便會用殘忍的餵養方式以達到縮短畜養時間、增加皮料產出速度也更會增加屠宰的數量。

If only consumers request for fur goods, the manufacture will feed animals cruelly for shortening growth time to speed production and more butchering.


如果消費者對於花俏的效果產生迷思,生產者為了增加中間利潤,會用毒性更強但製程更短的化學步驟去處理。

In case of consumers obsess with fancy outcomes; producers will create more heavy toxic chemicals for shortening working process to increase more profits.


所以每一個關卡的失衡每個人都有責任,因為需求所以延伸產出設計、製造端;為了增加更多需求,所以產生並利用各種催眠方式繼續刺激消費端。

Consequently, it’s everybody’s responsibility for causing ecological unbalance. Since our needs to bring the designs and manufacturers to create more demands to hypnotize consumers for wanting more.


所以.......,你是消費物品還是被消費的對象??
